Jeff Hicks is an airline captain and safety evaluation specialist with decades of experience in high-consequence aviation and government operations. Over the course of his career, he has served in military, federal, and commercial aviation roles, leading complex missions in austere and high-risk environments.

Drawing on operational command experience and years of evaluating safety systems from the inside, Hicks focuses on how organizations measure real-world safety performance — not just compliance.

He is the founder of Aerospace Safety Associates and the developer of the SEBA (Safety Evaluation & Barrier Assurance) framework, designed to help organizations move from documentation-based oversight to operational capability.
