Nonni K

Nonni K is the pen name of Kerrilee Burkhardt, a storyteller who finds magic in the everyday wonders of life at her family’s beloved Puddle Pot Pond. Her children’s books are inspired by real adventures shared with Needy McCreedy and Gently McBently—her two spirited dogs who have become cherished characters in her tales.

At the heart of Kerrilee’s writing is a deep purpose: to help children know that they are beautiful, loved, and wonderfully made—just as they are. She draws inspiration from Psalm 139:14 and infuses her stories with warmth, affirmation, and gentle reminders of each child’s God-given worth.

Kerrilee is also the author of The 3:16 Journey – A Discovery of Love and the children’s short story The Adventures of Leapsneak – The Charlie Files, works that reflect her passion for faith, family, and the transformative power of unconditional love.

Beyond the page, Nonni K is a devoted wife, mother, and Noni to her precious grandchildren. She lives on the gorgeous Fraser Coast in Queensland, Australia, where the sunshine, sea breezes, and family moments fuel her creativity. Strength training is her go-to anxiety pill, chai lattes are her guilty pleasure, her husband is her rock, and her family is her greatest reason.
