Dr. Danny Bruna is a cybersecurity strategist, author, and U.S. Army veteran who believes that the best defense—online or on the battlefield—begins with imagination, knowledge, and discipline. Originally from South Florida, and now calling New England home, Dr. Bruna bridges two worlds: the analytical precision of information technology and the creative pulse of art and storytelling.
Holding a Doctorate in Information Technology (Cybersecurity) from Capella University, his doctoral research, “Exploring Implementation of Wargaming Strategies Defense System Administrators,” laid the foundation for his acclaimed book “Cybersecurity Through Simulation: 5 Wargaming Strategies for Protecting Business Infrastructure.” His insights blend military wargaming principles with modern cyber defense, empowering businesses to think like strategists and protect like soldiers.
As the Technology Commissioner for the Town of Hamden, and a proud member of both the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success, Dr. Bruna continues to lead through innovation and service. When he’s not designing cyber simulations or mentoring future technologists, he’s immersed in painting, game development, and exploring diverse cultures.
Whether through technology, art, or teaching, Dr. Bruna’s mission remains the same: to inspire resilience, creativity, and strategic thinking in the digital age.
