Barbara Melling is a textile artist who has recently turned to writing popular cosy crime mystery stories, set in beautiful rural Lincolnshire where she lives.

The Trio of Fools and The Massey Hall Mystery are the first two books in the Lincolnshire Mysteries series, with the third, The Hooded Man, due for publication in 2026. Set against the backdrop of Andrea Bailey’s art studio, these cosy mysteries will keep you guessing until the end.

Feel good stories celebrating the friendship and humour of three older women who are not afraid to rush in where angels fear to tread, especially if there’s a good day out and a nice lunch involved.
