Grover Wehman-Brown

Grover Wehman-Brown is co-author of Should I Stay or Should I Go? A step-by-step workbook to help you decide if leaving the US is right for you. Grover publishes iterations of new work at You've got Mail (only Butch and platonic) on Substack and has created two podcasts, Grover Reads the News (2024-2025) and Masculine Birth Ritual (2018-2019), a podcast about masculine-of-center queer and trans people birthing and parenting young children. Their writing has appeared in venues including Autostraddle, Writers Resist, the Huffington Post, StreetSpirit, the Journal of Space and Culture, and the Journal of GLBTQ Worldmaking. 

Dr. Wehman-Brown holds a PhD in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for research on how homelessness is tolerated in the United States and a BFA in Writing from the Pratt Institute. They shepherd new projects and provide strategy and communications consulting services through their business, Strategic Creations, after more than twenty years teaching, training, and advocating alongside other people who want to build a better world.

Each morning, their dog, Tater Tot, walks Grover into a forest in the Netherlands, where they live with their wife, Nova, and two amazing kids.
