Annabelle Gregory

Annabelle Gregory has had a life that is both glamorous and gritty. Her early career was as a photographic and TV model, working with legendary directors Cy Endfield and Dick Lester. She appeared in ads for brands including Barclaycard, Player's, Cadbury's, Wall's and Kellogg's. Meanwhile her husband Barry was running restaurants and night clubs in London, crossing paths with celebrities from the world of TV and film, as well as brushing with the Krays and members of the criminal underworld.

Annabelle's lifelong passion has always been her art. After originally studying at St. Martin's, she has created life drawings, collages and oil paintings, in styles ranging from technical through to naïve. In 2024, aged 83, she decided to write her memoir. Each chapter has been prompted by a piece of her art, a photograph or other memento from her life.

The result was The Art of Becoming, which was published in late 2025.

Annabelle continues to create art, and her works are often exhibited in the South West UK.
