Marius Creed is a Cornish writer whose fiction explores the uneasy boundary between the ordinary world and the unseen. His stories range from supernatural horror and occult thrillers to tales of folklore, mystery and speculative fiction, always grounded in believable characters and the unsettling possibility that the impossible may be closer than we think.
He is the author of The Devil’s Magus, an occult thriller weaving ancient ritual, hidden knowledge and moral choice across Cornwall, London and the United States; Ghosts, Death and Demons: Tales that Disturb, a collection of atmospheric short stories in which ghosts, strange encounters and darker forces reveal as much about human nature as they do the supernatural; and The Strange Cases of Elias Finch: Unquiet Histories from Cornwall, twenty-five interconnected supernatural investigations set in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, exploring folklore, memory, friendship and the mysteries that linger in forgotten places.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Marius spent many years serving in the Royal Navy and later worked in international training and education. Those experiences continue to influence his fiction, bringing authenticity, discipline and a sense of place to stories that often begin in the familiar before stepping quietly into the unknown.
He lives in Cornwall, where the county’s history, coastline, moorland and folklore provide constant inspiration for his writing.
