Shirley Baker

Shirley Baker is now retired following successful careers as a teacher, educational psychologist, and expert witness. Originally from a remote corner of Jamaica, Shirley travelled to London with her mother as a second-class passenger on the SS Irpinia in 1956. She dedicated her career to helping others reach their potential through understanding, reflection, and education. Her work celebrates the resilience that comes from overcoming adversity and the peace found in embracing both sides of her cultural identity.
