Paul Evenson

Paul Evenson is a photographer and author based in Sunriver, Oregon, in the heart of the High Desert. Through years of patient observation and countless hours in the field, he has captured the raw beauty and subtle majesty of Central Oregon's volcanic landscape. Guardians of the High Desert represents his intimate portrait of a region where ancient lava flows meet stands of ponderosa pine, and golden eagles soar above sagebrush plains. When not behind the camera, Paul can be found exploring the backcountry trails and hidden corners of the Oregon wilderness.
