C.C. Kell

C.C. Kell is an author from Fort Smith, Arkansas whose stories explore family, legacy, loss, resilience, and the choices that shape ordinary lives.

Before turning to fiction, Kell served as a U.S. Navy corpsman and spent more than three decades working in the medical field.

Those experiences exposed him to both the fragility and strength of the human spirit, themes that continue to influence his writing today.

His first novels, The Bavent Bloodline Chronicles, began life more than eighteen years ago as a screenplay written while living in California. Although the script remained unfinished for years, the story refused to disappear. What began as a screenplay eventually evolved into a multi-book gothic saga spanning centuries, centered on inheritance, faith, sacrifice, and the enduring power of family.

Kell's contemporary novel, The Last Ordinary Day, followed a different path. Inspired by a screenplay concept he first developed in 2007, the story became a deeply personal exploration of fathers and sons, friendship, grief, love, and the moments we rarely recognize as important until they are gone.

Today, Kell continues to write from his hometown of Fort Smith, where new stories are always waiting just beyond the horizon.
