Elaine Sweetapple

Elaine Sweetapple is an illustrator and storyteller who creates musical adventures for children. With Matthew Sweetapple and Steve Punt she developed Rockford’s Rock Opera, a series of dramatised, musical audiobooks and illustrated stories loved by children and families around the world.

Rockford’s Rock Opera’s stories are also used in many schools to explore nature and extinction – teachers can download free resources from the Rockford’s Rock Opera website. Elaine’s work sparks wonder, curiosity and a love of the natural world.

She also co-presents the Kid’s Stories, Science & Secrets podcast with Matthew and Steve, which delves into the amazing facts behind the fiction of the story of Lost on Infinity.
