Emma Lokuciejewski

Emma is an Orangutanologist, a scientist studying orangutans. She is dedicated to understanding and protecting one of the world’s most intelligent and critically endangered great apes. She has spent her career studying orangutans in zoos, rehabilitation and reintroduction centers, and in the wild. Passionate about bridging art and science, Emma also works as a digital illustrator, using her art to raise awareness and inspire connection to the natural world. The Rimba book is a heartfelt expression of her lifelong mission to protect orangutans.
