Anthony M. Quattrone Ph.D.

Anthony M. Quattrone, Ph.D., served with NATO and the U.S. Department of Defense for over four decades, pioneering innovative HR practices in NATO out-of-area missions, including the Balkans and Iraq. He later lectured at Italian universities, focusing on U.S. politics, foreign affairs, and careers with international organizations. Based in Houston, Texas, he draws on his American perspective and international experience to explore the intersection of leadership, ethics, and complexity.

Throughout his NATO career, he led civilian human resources operations across the Alliance’s Southern European region, shaping HR policy and practices in complex multinational settings. Earlier in his career, he managed higher education programs for the U.S. Navy in Southern Italy and the Mediterranean with the Sixth Fleet. After earning his doctorate in Applied Management and Decision Sciences in 2002, he continued to develop and apply his expertise in leadership, ethics, and decision-making in both academic and operational contexts.

Since retiring from NATO in 2021, he has dedicated himself to teaching, writing, and public communication. He is the author of "Leading in Complexity" and host of the podcast "La politica americana vista da Houston", produced in Italian for an international audience interested in U.S. domestic and foreign affairs.
