Gavin Taylor lives in Oxfordshire, England, with his wife and two gentle, curious cats.

Their garden is home to hundreds of bees, dragonflies, and other fascinating insects. Watching them buzz, hum, and bumble about inspired him to dream up Bertie and his friends.

When Gavin isn’t writing about Bertie, Katie, James, Ella and the gang, he can usually be found with a sketchbook in one hand and a mug of tea in the other.
