Hey, I’m Divya Babu — author of The Hinge of Light.
I’m a daughter, sister, wife, and a proud mom of two little boys who fill my world with wonder. I began as an engineering graduate, but my heart led me to a different calling — teaching young children. Every day in the classroom feels like a dance of curiosity, laughter, and discovery. I help shape their beautiful world and curious minds — and they, in turn, teach me to see life with fresh eyes, wonder, and endless imagination.
I started writing this story in September 2024, just after my baby turned six months old. My days were full of giggles, sleepless nights, and one question that wouldn’t stop whispering:
What if time travel was real?
And if it was… where would I go first?
For me, it would always be back to my school days — evenings when my dad told tales of ancient heroes, lost cities, and mysteries buried under our feet. My mom would tell stories and sing songs about mythological heroes. Those stories planted the seeds that later grew into The Hinge of Light.
I’m Indian, based in the UAE, and when I’m not surrounded by tiny humans or writing, you’ll probably find me sketching, sipping tea, or revisiting old myths. Imagination, I believe, is a force without boundaries — connecting childhood wonder to the stories we carry into adulthood.
If you’ve ever looked at the stars and wondered “what if?”, we’re already on the same wavelength.
Welcome to my world — where myths breathe, time bends, and curiosity never retires.
And yes, Part 2 is on the way.
