TUNC ALTINBAS

About the Author

Tunc Altinbas is a writer, poet, and seeker of the sacred who bridges Eastern mysticism and Western mindfulness. Living by the Aegean Sea in the ancient town of Foça—ancient Phokaia—he draws inspiration from the rhythms of the waves, the silence of the horizon, and the timeless teachings of Rumi and the mystics of love. His work invites readers into a poetic world where spirituality and philosophy meet, where love is not only emotion but the highest form of remembrance.

From an early age, Altinbas was nurtured by his grandmother’s stories of courage, loss, and faith—stories that opened in him a longing for the unseen, the hidden truths of life. Over time, this inner calling merged with his study of Rumi, Hafiz, and the great Sufi masters, becoming the foundation of his writing and spiritual path. For Altinbas, writing is not simply art; it is devotion—a form of prayer through words.

Altinbas writes in a voice that blends the lyrical with the contemplative, uniting poetic beauty and spiritual clarity. His style echoes the mystics—Rumi, Hafiz, and Gibran—yet remains rooted in his own lived experience of love, solitude, and the sea. He draws from diverse traditions—Sufism, Taoism, depth psychology, and modern mindfulness—to express a universal truth: that the heart’s journey toward love is the soul’s journey home.

Beyond the page, Altinbas is dedicated to exploring themes of spiritual equality, the divine feminine, and the balance between strength and tenderness. He believes that the sacred relationship between woman and man reflects the eternal dance of creation itself. In his writing, woman is seen not as passive but as divine radiance; man not as dominance but as direction softened by compassion. Love, in its highest essence, becomes the alchemy that restores wholeness to the human spirit.

His work speaks to readers who seek depth in their relationships and authenticity in their inner lives—those who feel that the modern world has forgotten the sacred. Through his reflections, Altinbas offers a way back: a rediscovery of presence, intimacy, and mercy as spiritual practice. He reminds his readers that enlightenment is not escape but embodiment, that heaven is not elsewhere but within the heart awakened to love.

Today, Tunc Altinbas continues to live and write in Foça, where the timeless dance of sea and sky mirrors the eternal dance of man and woman, lover and Beloved. He is currently at work on his next book, exploring the mysteries of compassion, union, and consciousness in the modern age.
