Dr Janet Deane is a Consultant Associate Professor, certified Academic Coach, and Founder of The Academic Coach Space. With over 25 years’ experience as a scientist, clinician, educator, and mentor, she supports Healthcare Professionals, STEM experts, and Clinical Academics in realising their full potential through practical, evidence-based coaching.

The first non-medical clinical academic in the UK to receive an NIHR IAT Clinical Lectureship, her pioneering work in biomechanics and digital health has earned multiple national fellowships and awards.

In her debut book, Doctorate: Finding Your Way (Elsevier Health), she offers evidence-based guidance to help doctoral students and supervisors achieve success with confidence, clarity, and balance.
