HwaHwa Studio

Kyoungrim Kim (known professionally as Lima) was born and raised in South Korea and later moved to Toronto, Canada. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art & Design University and worked as an art director at Rogers Media, where her work earned multiple awards from the Advertising & Design Club of Canada (ADCC) in 2007 and the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).

After returning to South Korea, she founded HWAHWA Studio, a creative company producing films, animations, games, and consumer products. Her project MeoShín’Ké represents the culmination of years of creative development and direction.

In 2019 and 2020, HWAHWA Studio received multiple government grants through competitive programs hosted by the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship and the IT Industry Promotion Agency, both under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in South Korea.
