Lisa Giles, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Level 3 Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and consultant. Drawing from her personal journey with ADHD and autism, she blends clinical insight with lived experience to help others understand themselves through a lens of curiosity and compassion.
Her debut book, Misunderstood: My Journey to a Diagnosis of AuDHD That Explains (Nearly) Everything, bridges psychology and memoir—offering a deeply human look at masking, misdiagnosis, and the process of self-acceptance.
Lisa lives in Southern California with her husband, two sons, and their dog, Trigger. When she’s not writing or teaching, you’ll usually find her on a beach volleyball court, fishing off a jetty, or asking too many questions about how everything works.
