Hello, I’m J.E. Smith, a lover of stories—preferably with a dash of humour—and now a children’s book author. Welcome to my corner of imagination!

My husband and I live in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, home to Canada’s elusive lake monster, Ogopogo. We have two children, one granddaughter, four grand-dogs, and a crooked-tailed grand-cat. When I’m not spending time with them, you’ll likely find me reading, thrifting for treasures, or exploring new places. And then there's writing!

I began writing stories as a child and over the years I've filed away all sorts of thoughts, ideas, outlines and partially finished manuscripts! My first book, Minnifitty and the Rotten Kids, is one I had tucked away and recently rediscovered. Reconnecting with it felt like finding something I'd lost but not forgotten, and it seemed like it was time to bring it to life.
