I’m Omar S. Alamad, an author and publisher who writes books for people who want life to feel calmer, steadier, and more intentional.
I write cozy craft books designed to slow things down and bring creativity back into everyday life. Working with simple materials, patient hands, and unhurried time has shaped the way I see family life, which is why I also write practical parenting books about emotional intelligence and mindful screen use. My work is guided by the belief that gentle, hands-on practices can make homes calmer, relationships stronger, and daily life more connected.
Over time, something else began to happen. In quiet moments, when I sit down with a warm drink, take a break from the day, or work with my hands .. stories started to form. The crafts I write about, the patience they require, and the emotions they stir slowly found their way into fiction.
That’s how I began writing quiet, reflective novels about makers, memory, and the things in life that can’t be fixed or rushed. These stories are inspired by craft, stillness, and the inner landscapes we all carry, especially in moments of loss, waiting, or change.
Whether I’m writing for parents, families, or reflective readers, my goal is always the same: to create books that feel thoughtful, human, and genuinely useful—books that invite people to slow down, breathe, and stay present.
