Rod Graham is an Australian veterinarian and storyteller whose career has spanned both country paddocks and city clinics.

From horses in the Yarra Valley to family pets in suburban homes, he has spent decades caring for animals great and small, and the people who love them.

A natural observer with a wry sense of humour, Rod writes with honesty, compassion, and warmth about the challenges and joys of veterinary life. His stories capture the bond between animals and humans, the lessons they share, and the quiet moments that define a life in practice.

His debut collection, Snippets of a Vet’s Life: The Early Years, invites readers behind the consulting-room door to experience the laughter, heartbreak, and wisdom that come from a lifetime working with creatures of every kind.

Rod lives in Melbourne, Australia, and continues to write new stories for the Snippets series. When he’s not at his desk, he can usually be found in the company of dogs, cats, or the occasional donkey.
