Prof. Dr. Amadeus M. Kubicek, DBA, is a behavioural risk specialist, university professor, and founder of the Resilience Intelligence Frameworkİ. With more than four decades of experience across aviation, policing, defence, and higher education, he has devoted his career to understanding how people and organisations think, assess risk, adapt to change, and perform under pressure—work made deeply personal through his own journey overcoming an aggressive illness.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Organisational Behaviour and Behavioural Risk Management from Charles Sturt University, Australia. He has served as a university professor, program chair, and international consultant, helping organisations strengthen resilience, leadership, and human performance. His research has been published in leading international journals, and he has presented at conferences around the world.
Dr. Kubicek is the author of more than 70 publications, including books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and international conference papers. Known for combining evidence-based behavioural science with relatable everyday stories, he translates complex psychological concepts into practical insights that readers can immediately recognise in their own lives. His writing blends academic credibility with a warm, conversational style, helping readers understand not only why they think and behave the way they do, but also providing practical frameworks and realistic pathways for meaningful, lasting change.
A lifelong martial artist, Dr. Kubicek holds the rank of 6th Dan in Shotokan Karate through the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF) and has trained continuously for more than 50 years. His Renshi teaching title was awarded by the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK), one of Japan's oldest and most respected traditional martial arts organisations, in recognition of his technical proficiency, instructional experience, and contribution to the preservation of traditional budo.
When he isn't writing, researching, or teaching, Dr. Kubicek enjoys life on the Mediterranean coast of Türkiye with his wife, Leyla.
