Prof. Dr. Amadeus M. Kubicek, DBA is an Australian-born professor, behavioural-risk specialist, and Amazon Best-Selling author (January 2026). His books have achieved Top 5 and Top 10 Best Seller rankings on Amazon USA across martial arts and applied psychology categories, including appearances on the Amazon Best Sellers list for Karate, as well as #3 Hot New Release in Positive Psychology, Top 10 Best Seller in Positive Psychology (USA), Top 15 Best Seller in Business Negotiating (Amazon Japan), and #10 and #11 Best Sellers in Etiquette Guides (Amazon Canada).

He is the founder of the Resilience Intelligence Frameworkİ and the author of multiple book series spanning resilience, emotional intelligence, cultural intelligence, behavioural risk, and martial arts philosophy.

With more than four decades of experience across aviation, policing, defence, emergency management, and higher education, Dr. Kubicek has dedicated his career to understanding how individuals and organisations think, interpret risk, and perform under pressure. His work on resilience is both scholarly and deeply personal, shaped by his lived experience overcoming an aggressive cancer.

He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Organisational Behaviour and Behavioural Risk Management from Charles Sturt University, where his multi-country doctoral research examined the psychological, cultural, and organisational predictors of risk perception, decision-making, and adaptive performance. He has served as Assistant Professor and Acting Program Chair in the Faculty of Resilience at a Military Academy in Abu Dhabi, contributing to postgraduate education across the UAE’s security, defence, emergency, and crisis leadership sectors.

Dr. Kubicek has published peer-reviewed research in the International Journal of Human Resource Management and the International Journal of Risk Management, with conference presentations across Europe, the United States, Australia, and the Middle East, including the European Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, and the European Conference on Positive Psychology.

A lifelong martial artist with over 50 years of continuous training, Dr. Kubicek holds a 6th Dan black belt in Japanese Shotokan Karate (SKIF) and the Shōgō title of Renshi, awarded by the Nippon Dai Butokukai (Japan).
