Frank-Michael Rost prefers to write thrillers, science fiction, and some erotic fiction. The film scholar worked for three decades as a producer of corporate films for well-known German and international companies, directed several independent films that were successfully released on DVD, and produces and writes audiobooks that are marketed through popular download and streaming platforms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he decided to devote himself entirely to writing. He lives with his wife and cat near Cologne.
