Steve Feldman

I'm Steve Feldman, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my story with you. I grew up in what I thought was a normal family. My parents were hard workers who provided well for us. As the youngest of four, with an older brother and two older sisters, I was part of a family that loved bowling. It was a big part of our lives, associated with fun and social gatherings.

My parents were very social and entertained often, which meant I was exposed to a lot of drinking and partying from a young age. My mother struggled with alcoholism, while my father rarely drank, which created tension and challenges over the years. When I was 16, my parents took an offer to manage a bowling center. You know what's in every bowling center? A bar. So, I found myself in that atmosphere constantly, believing this was what life was supposed to be—people just having fun.

In 1984, we bought our first bowling center. By then, I had been drinking and doing drugs since the age of 12, influenced by the partying I was surrounded by—from my older siblings to my parents' social activities. It seemed like everyone I knew was doing it, and I thought this was just the way of life. I got married in 1986. I have two sons, Michael and Justin.

As time went on, my substance use progressed from marijuana to harder drugs, eventually leading to cocaine and smoking crack. I was dealing with drug addiction without even realizing I had a problem. The consequences of my addiction began to pile up, resulting in multiple marriages, broken relationships, lost friendships, and financial ruin more than once.

I went through outpatient programs, therapists, counselors, family interventions, and pastors. I participated in 12-step AA, 12-step biblical programs, and Celebrate Recovery. It wasn't until after full surrender that God told me I could finish my story. That's when He put a burning desire and passion in me to share my story and help others come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and to help them out of addiction and into recovery. That was when it hit me. Everything is a process, and the Lord put the meaning behind the letters, and The P.R.O.C.E.S.S. was created.

After overcoming 35 years in addiction, I know the struggles that an addict faces because I've been there myself. I understand right where they are, and I'm always encouraging that there is hope and a way forward. The P.R.O.C.E.S.S. program is a no-nonsense approach designed to initiate an immediate call to action. It's crafted to empower individuals to take control of their lives and start their journey toward healing and transformation. If not now, when?

Today, I'm married to Janey, and we have kids and grandkids. We enjoy walks, Talks, and the simpler things in life. We are very involved in our church and love to serve others.

My mission is simple. To create a movement in addiction recovery throughout the world. One that impacts one individual, one family, and one community at a time.

My heart is to help people discover freedom through Christ and realize that recovery isn't just possible, it's promised when we walk in faith and truth.
