Megan Miller is a heartfelt storyteller, children’s advocate, and the author of the inspiring picture book Luke and the Lost Bell. What began as a deeply personal journey of faith and family has evolved into a mission to bring hope, understanding, and comfort to children and families navigating pediatric cancer. A resident of North Carolina, Megan lives with her husband Brent and their son Luke, whose diagnosis with stage III T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma at age three inspired the story. Through Luke’s strength and resilience, Megan found the spark for a tale that helps young readers grasp courage and healing through a gentle, train-themed allegory. In Luke and the Lost Bell, she uses vivid illustrations and tender storytelling to guide children ages 2–7 through themes of perseverance, faith, and the triumphant ringing of the bell marking the end of treatment. Beyond her writing, Megan founded Next Chapter Station, a nonprofit dedicated to providing emotional and educational resources for families facing pediatric cancer. Through book donations, advocacy, and community events, she continues to turn personal pain into purpose—ensuring that every family facing childhood cancer feels seen, supported, and never alone.
