Fran Litch

Born Françoise (Fran) Martin in Montreal, Canada, Fran Litch graduated from McGill University with a B.A. in English Literature. She later married an American, Gary Litch, and moved to Ohio, where she earned a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in French.

Fran has enjoyed a varied and creative career—teaching French and English, running her own color analysis business, and working as a Realtor. She and Gary have two children who reside in Columbus, Ohio: their son, Scott, a graphic designer who assists with the formatting, illustrations, and cover designs of her books; and their daughter, Christine, a marketing professional at Foundari, who is married to Kyle Knox. The two have gifted Fran and her husband three amazing granddaughters.

Fran and Gary spend their summers in Columbus, where their grandchildren love reading her books as much as she loves writing them.

A lifelong lover of poetry and children’s stories, Fran’s first novel, Weeper, marks her debut in middle-grade fiction. She has volunteered as an ESL teacher, shared her stories in elementary schools throughout Ohio, and played a bit of golf. Now retired, she enjoys life in sunny Florida with her husband of 48 years.
