Geoffrey Clow

Geoffrey Clow is a writer, advocate, and counsellor who has spent the past decade helping survivors of coercive control, trauma, and narcissistic abuse reclaim their voice. Trained in forward-facing trauma therapy, crisis support, and person-centred counselling, he brings both professional insight and lived experience to every page.

Raised in difficult circumstances, Geoffrey began exploring coercive control to understand what kept his mother tethered to an abusive partner. That search grew into a body of work grounded in empathy and clarity about what holds survivors captive—and what sets them free.

He lives in Canberra, Australia, and is the founder of Twinkling of the Soul, a survivor-led social enterprise offering support, recovery tools, and training in the language of coercive control. Enough: What Coercive Control Steals. What Recovery Makes Possible is his first book.
