Daniel Gardner is an interdisciplinary scholar and a lecturer in computing and game design at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. His research examines the socio-technical dimensions of digital media. Chiefly, he is interested in potentially inequitable interactions with digital games and media stemming from the interfaces and infrastructures within which core media has become embedded in the digital age. In his research and teaching, he prioritizes learning by doing, often through co- and counter-design.
