Stacy Swope

Stacy Swope is a preschool special education teacher who believes in the power of early intervention and inclusive learning. She also spent thirteen years as an elementary special education teacher, where matching the right book to the right child was always a highlight of her days. She holds a master's degree in Childhood Education and a bachelor's degree in Communications. As both an educator and a mom, she has always turned to books to help children through times of need. She believes every child deserves to see themselves in a beautifully written and illustrated tale. She fundamentally believes that adults have just as much to learn from children as children do from them.

Stacy lives in a small town outside of Buffalo, NY, with her husband, two sons, and a lovable Labrador retriever. Her son and his medical journey were the inspiration behind the main character in her debut book.
