Nicolas Lambda

I am neither a politician nor a drawing-room intellectual.

I am an ordinary man — a Frenchman among many others — born in a time when people worked hard, watched carefully, and above all, learned to keep quiet.

But I eventually understood that too much silence leads to disappearance.

Nicolas Lambda is the name I chose to speak for those who are no longer heard: ordinary people, the ones who work, who pay, who rise early, and whom society forgets as soon as they’ve done their duty.

This pseudonym is a nod to all those voiceless citizens who have kept their dignity despite the contempt of those who claim to lead them.

I wrote Manifeste d’un citoyen lambda because I can no longer bear to watch my country fall apart, to see France deny what once made it great — its memory, its word, its freedom.

I do not claim to hold the truth, but I have tried to seek it, with my own words, my convictions, and that common sense people now mock so easily.

I represent no party, no faction, no ideology.

I simply stand for the silent people who are tired of being spoken for.

And if this book disturbs some, so be it — it only means it struck the right nerve.
