J. T. Yost

J.T. Yost received a Xeric Award in 2008, which allowed him to self-publish his first book (Old Man Winter & Other Sordid Tales) and set up Birdcage Bottom Books. BBB blossomed into an indie comics publisher and distro representing hundreds of artists. After 15 years of business (and receiving a slew of awards and nominations including Ignatz, Eisner, and DiNKY), BBB was passed on to Daniel Whitfield in late 2023.

J.T. has been writing and drawing comics and illustrations professionally since 1992. His comics have been published by NBM Graphic Novels, Three Rivers Press, Vice Magazine, Silver Sprocket, Kilgore Books, Hic & Hoc Publications, Arthritis Foundation, and more.

J.T. currently works as the marketing manager for NBM Graphic Novels while continuing to draw comics.
