D.P. Martínez

D.P. Martinez writes supernatural suspense and urban fantasy about hidden worlds under every day places. He is the author of the Dark London series, beginning with Dark Stations, in which London's Underground becomes a gateway to a shadow city inhabited by ghosts and shaped by grief.

Martinez holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Greenwich, where he specialised in Literary London and researched metaphorical representations of the city in urban fantasy. That fascination with London as both a real and imagined place helped inspire the world of Dark London.

His debut novel, Son of the Axe, blends literary fiction with magical and supernatural elements in a story about ancestry, identity, and a cursed medieval axe.

He has also written hundreds of articles and several non-fiction books under the name Diego Pineda.
