Keern, the Dutch derivative for turn or time, meaning to turn on time, is one of very few golfers to have eagled par fours from both sides of the ball. His explorations into Ben Hogan's Secret began when he was a teenage golfer playing right-handed. An injury at the age of 29 caused him to take up the arduous task of relearning the game. As a left-handed player he was able to do something more important than play golf. K. Zachary Haslem used the opportunity to explore Ben Hogan's unique mastery of the game with fresh eyes. By mirroring his knowledge of the instinctual game with the need to relearn he was able to derive information from Mr. Hogan's book "Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf" no one had even thought to look for. Rapidly becoming a break through amateur, with dreams of finally establishing himself in the world of professional golf, Haslem has recorded breakthroughs in instruction, and play.
