Hi! I’m Susan, and I write children's books inspired by life on our little farm, where the animals have personalities, opinions, and—occasionally—a mind of their own.

My stories are about the things that matter to kids: finding your place, being yourself, friendship, courage, and all the little surprises that can happen along the way.

When I'm not writing, I'm out on the farm, noticing something that will probably find its way into a story someday.
