Michael Wisdom

Michael Wisdom is a performance coach, author, and systems-based health specialist focused on how the human body adapts, heals, and performs under real-world demands.

With a background in kinesiology and decades of experience working with high-performing professionals, executives, and athletes, Michael’s work bridges physiology, nervous system regulation, and practical habit design. His writing explores the body not as a collection of isolated parts, but as an integrated system shaped by rhythm, environment, stress, and perception.

He is the author of The Human Body User Manual: A Guide to Nature's Most Complex Engineering, a clear, accessible guide to understanding how the body functions—and how to keep it performing at its best in a modern world that often works against it. His upcoming work, As Above, So Below: How the Gut Shapes the Body, Mind, and Emotions, expands this framework by examining the gut-brain axis as a central driver of health, mood, cognition, and resilience.

Outside of writing, Michael works directly with clients through private performance coaching and corporate wellness programs, helping individuals and organizations translate scientific insight into sustainable, high-leverage daily practices. His approach emphasizes clarity over complexity, principles over trends, and long-term capacity over short-term fixes.

Wisdom lives and works in Florida, where he continues to write, coach, and develop educational tools designed to help people better understand the system they live in every day: their own body.
