Jamare Bates

Jamare Bates is a children’s book author and former military kid whose stories celebrate resilience, family, and the courage to face change. Having moved seven times before high school and lived in Germany during his childhood, Jamare learned to rely on imagination to navigate unfamiliar places and new beginnings.

Now a husband, father, and commercial real estate executive, he writes stories that help children work through big emotions especially those dealing with transitions. His debut book, Isaiah’s Moving Day Adventure, is loosely based on his own experiences growing up in a military family.

With more than 20 years in engineering and a passion for youth mentorship, Jamare has spoken at schools, led STEM programs, and supported scholarship initiatives.
