I am a technologist, mentor, and author with over three decades of experience spanning client-server systems to cloud-native enterprise solutions. Early in my career, I worked with BARC, TIFR, Best & Crompton, and Ramco Systems before founding Amitysoft Technologies to advance ERP, AI services, and software quality. Learning Prolog in the mid-80s sparked my interest in AI, and in the early 90s I conceptualized an expert system for mining ERP. After the AI lull, I deepened my engagement with big data, analytics, machine learning, and now Generative AI and agentic systems. My quality background drew me to responsible AI, and my research focuses on guardrails for AGI. I enjoy crafting narratives that blend rigor with creativity—whether in blogs, books, or talks. My writings on AI/ML, GOFAI, AGI Guardrails, and “Between New Oil and Snake Oil” reflect this curiosity. I live in Chennai with my wife Kalpana, blessed with a daughter and son who inspire my journey. You can read my articles in my linkedin: jayakumarkr.
