Mel De Pablos is a German author writing in both English and German, because apparently one language wasn't complicated enough.
She is the author of the YA dystopian series "The Last Girl on Earth," which began with "The 23rd Pair" and continues with "Entering Eden," as well as the poetry collection "An Author & Her Dog: 100 Days. 100 Words. 100 Inspirational Poems."
Her fiction explores identity, survival, impossible choices, and what it means to remain human when the world around you is determined to decide who you should be. Her poetry explores pretty much everything else.
Born in Germany to Spanish parents, Mel works as a TV journalist in Berlin and has been telling stories in one form or another for most of her life.
When she's not building dystopian worlds or putting fictional people through entirely unnecessary amounts of trouble, she shares her writing journey online, usually accompanied by her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Miss Monroe, who considers herself an essential part of the creative process.
