Gary Balanoff

Gary Balanoff is a romance novelist based in Oviedo, Florida, known for writing emotionally rich slow burn romance stories that stay with readers long after the final page. His books explore opposites attract love stories, emotional healing, and the journey of learning to trust again. His latest novel Trust Issues is a contemporary firefighter romance following two guarded hearts finding their way to each other against all odds.

Gary's writing is character driven, heartfelt, and perfect for readers who love firefighter romance, slow burn relationships, and deeply emotional love stories. After graduating with a degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Florida, Gary Balanoff embarked on a career as a TV news reporter. He remains the youngest Florida Capitol Bureau Chief in history, covered the Ted Bundy murder trials, the first nine Space Shuttle launches, and the 1980 Democratic National Convention. Gary ran a series on Florida’s Death Row, the building of the fourth and fifth Space Shuttle vehicles, and the crisis of spouse abuse in Tallahassee.

Gary then spent 40 years in the real estate business, including 20 as founder and broker-owner of RE/MAX Select. He helped build the firm to become one of the top 1% of all real estate offices in Greater Orlando. Now, Gary’s third chapter involves writing romance novels.
