I grew up as a Presbyterian and while keeping a secular belief in Christianity, I wasn’t sure I really believed in all the tenants of the faith. In 2010 I started to question what was going on in the world. The deeper I dug the more I realized that what I believed was important and it was time to figure it out. I tore down everything I thought I knew and slowly questioned and rebuilt a foundation. This was not a quick fun expedition but took years and a journey through the dark night of the soul. The questioning will never stop because as important as faith is, I also need to look for and understand truth as God is truth. Jesus is my foundation and as a believer I pray to understand his teachings.

One afternoon I sat down to read Ephesians and 1Corinthians and became determined to understand what Paul was telling us. It took over 2 years to get from there to this little book while wrestling with God. What was God really saying about the "Woman"? What I discovered was this: The “Woman” is the body of Christ and the bride of Christ. The Word of God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is our Husband.
