Akshay Chopra

Akshay Chopra is an author, innovation leader, venture builder, investor, and futurist who has been featured in tier-1 media globally. Akshay holds 8 patents and his executive roles include Founder of 237 Ventures, President at Gennius XYZ, and formerly, VP & Head of Innovation at Visa CEMEA, and Southeast Asia Leader of Deloitte Greenhouse. He also serves on Boards and Advisory Boards of organizations such as MENA FinTech Association, UAE Government’s New Economy Academy, Rishihood University and multiple fintechs.

At 237 Ventures, Akshay invests in cutting-edge startups and advises major governments and organizations on innovation. During eight years as Visa's VP for Innovation & Crypto Solutions across CEMEA (and previously APAC), he built award-winning Innovation Centers in Singapore, Dubai, Kenya, Russia, and Riyadh.

Akshay holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business and B.A. (Honors) in Economics from the University of Delhi.
