Mr Ross Alexander Cameron

Ross Alexander Cameron’s journey as a writer began in primary school, shortly after being diagnosed with dyslexia. With the encouragement of his father, Ross enrolled in DDAT therapy, a process designed to retrain the brain to overcome the challenges of dyslexia. For two years, with the support of his dad and stepmother, Ross completed daily exercises to strengthen his reading and writing. Alongside this, he began creating short stories—“scripts,” as he fondly called them—where the characters Nathan, Sophie, and Beth were born at just eleven years old. By the time he reached high school, Ross had written thousands of these scripts, weaving together characters and untold stories that would form the foundation of his creative universe.

In 2019, Ross’s father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Determined to share his work with the man who had always supported his writing, Ross completed Cult: Rise of Ancestral Magic just before his father’s passing in early 2020. Though grief kept him from revisiting the book for some time, it remains a tribute to the unwavering encouragement his dad gave him throughout his struggles with dyslexia and storytelling.

Today, Ross continues to expand on the magical world he first imagined as a child, breathing new life into Nathan, Sophie, Beth, and countless others. His writing is not only a creative passion but also a lasting reminder of resilience, imagination, and the power of support in overcoming adversity.
