Mandy Pearse

Mandy Pearse is a freelance Public Relations consultant and owner of Seashell Communications Ltd.

She provides consultancy services to a wide range of clients with a focus on public sector and governmental bodies. She has also provided consultancy support pro bono to range of community development charities as well as working with development, construction and engineering firms. Before moving into consultancy, Mandy worked for over 20 years in local government in the UK leading award-winning Public Relations teams.

Mandy has a background in research which she has conducted throughout her career including delivering large scale market research surveys and running citizens panels as well as focus groups and deliberative discussions. She currently runs the UK public sectors’ largest communications benchmark survey.

As a trainer, Mandy delivers courses and workshops on a wide range of Public Relations and Marketing topics. She is a frequent speaker at public sector and governmental conferences in the UK and globally.

Mandy is a former President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), Council and Board member as well as chairing the CIPR Local Public Services Group and CIPR’s Research Panel. She has served on the Board of the Global Alliance of Public Relations and Communication Management (GA) and currently sits on the GA’s European Council. She also serves on the Board of iProvision, the benevolent charity for CIPR members.

She is a Fellow of the CIPR and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and is one of only a few professionals in the UK to be Chartered with both bodies. She is also a recipient of the PR Globe international award for service to the Public Relations profession.
