Verl Johnson

Hi, I'm Verl Johnson, the author behind Bella Garden Publishing.

Inspired by my childhood growing up in rural Jamaica, I create beautifully illustrated children's picture books that celebrate kindness, friendship, sharing, courage, and the wonders of nature. My books combine timeless watercolor artwork with gentle storytelling to create meaningful reading experiences for children ages 3–7.

I'm the creator of the Bella's Garden Adventures series, starring Bella the Little Honey Bee—a cheerful little bee who helps young readers learn important life lessons through fun, heartwarming adventures.

In addition to storybooks, I also create printable activities, coloring books, puzzles, and educational resources that encourage creativity and family learning beyond the story.

As a beekeeper, mother, and lifelong storyteller, I believe that stories have the power to inspire compassion, spark imagination, and help children grow into kind and confident individuals.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you'll join Bella as her garden—and her adventures—continue to grow.
