Simon J Harrison

Simon Harrison (S.J. Harrison) is a British author, illustrator, and artist who believes that the best way to navigate life—and the road—is with confidence and a sense of humor.

With a background in Fine Art and a successful career as a driving instructor, Simon brings a uniquely grounded perspective to his work. He is a specialist in supporting neurodiverse learners, authored in his acclaimed guides "Autism – The Road to Driving" and "Theory Test Success for Autistic and SEND Learners." His professional insight also extends to the mechanics of the driving test itself in "Behind The Mind of a Driving Examiner," where he helps nervous learners shift their focus from "test perfection" to safe, confident judgment.

When he isn’t helping students pass their tests, Simon channels his artistic energy into creating whimsical, mischievous tales for children. His debut, "Flatulent-Fuelled Granny Pat & The Diamond Meat Mob’s Revenge," blends his love for comedy with his fine art roots. Inspired by his own children, Simon creates stories that are as entertaining for parents as they are for kids—reminding us all that the best stories are the ones that make us giggle.
