Johnny Klemme

Johnny Klemme has spent his career helping farm families navigate one of life’s most emotional and financially significant decisions—the future of the family farm. Johnny works alongside landowners across the Midwest to create strategies that honor both the economic value of farmland and the family legacies tied to it.

A lifelong Hoosier and award-winning farmland advisor, Johnny is passionate about making sure land decisions don’t just preserve acres—they preserve meaning. His first book, American Family Farmland, draws on years of conversations with families around kitchen tables to help readers find clarity, reduce conflict, and align choices with their goals.

His documentary LAND VALUES was featured in the Smithsonian’s Water/Ways exhibit and screened internationally, and his ongoing Stories of Stewardship series highlights real farmers adapting to the challenges of modern agriculture.

Whether through advising, writing, or filmmaking, Johnny’s work centers on a single goal: helping families see their land not just as property, but as a source of purpose, opportunity, and Return on Life.
