A M Pearce

A. M. Pearce is an Australian fantasy author based in Adelaide, where she lives with her partner and three exceedingly opinionated cats. Inspired by folklore, distinct landscapes, and the forgotten histories buried beneath modern life, she writes immersive fantasy filled with monsters, magic, and morally compelling characters.

Born in 1991, Alyssa-Maria studied writing and sociolinguistics at the University of South Australia before completing a Master's in Writing at Macquarie University. Before turning her focus to fiction, she worked as an editor, writing coach, policy writer, and in several other professions that taught her everyone has a story worth telling. When she's not writing, you'll find her either freediving, curled up with a book and at least one cat, or wandering the coastline in search of inspiration.
