Pier Luigi Gentili

Pier Luigi Gentili is a Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Perugia (Italy). In his teaching activities, he offers interdisciplinary courses on Complex Systems to prepare the next generation for the global challenges of this century. In his research work, he develops innovative Chemical Artificial Intelligence, which involves testing how closely inanimate chemical matter can approach the intelligence of biological forms. He is the author of over a hundred scientific articles. Gentili has work experience at the Universities of Perugia, Florence, and Siena. He has also spent periods of research and teaching at American universities such as Harvard, Brandeis, and Bowling Green, as well as European universities in London (UCL), Toulouse (Paul Sabatier-Toulouse III), Brussels (Vrije), Bielefeld in Germany, and Malta.
