Scott Taylor is a writer, marketer, and creative storyteller based in Northeast Ohio. He holds an MBA from John Carroll University and a BA in Visual Communication Design from the University of Dayton, and his work has spanned everything from national brands to local nonprofits. As the founder of BlkDog, a branding and marketing agency, he has spent over 15 years helping entrepreneurs and mission-driven organizations build meaningful brands through strategy and storytelling.
Scott never set out to become a writer—especially not a children’s author. But during bedtime story sessions with his young son, inspiration struck. Blending his professional expertise and belief in the power of simple, playful stories to teach life’s biggest lessons.
When he’s not writing or building brands, Scott enjoys exploring new ideas, traveling, spending time with family, and staying curious about the world around him. His mission is simple: to create stories that entertain, inspire, and remind us that we all have unique gifts and talents to share with the world.
The Potato People is his debut children’s book.
